A real curriculum, not just games

Three learning paths,
by age and ability.

Each path follows the same progression — home row → top/bottom rows → numbers → punctuation → fluency — with different games, vocabulary and pacing per age. You pick the path when you create your kid's profile.

Why no parent dashboard?

Because there's no cloud.

Typiq Kids is a desktop app. Progress lives on the same computer your kid practices on — there's no account to log into, no email reports, no central server tracking your child. The app shows WPM, accuracy and stars right after every session. Sit next to your kid for two minutes a week and you've seen everything a dashboard would have shown you.

Local only

Lessons, progress and games stored on the install. Works offline forever after the first activation.

No social, no chat

Kids cannot see other kids. No leaderboards. No strangers. Ever.

Separate kid profiles

Create one profile per child on the same install. Each picks their own age group and keeps their own progress.

Parent FAQ

Questions parents
actually ask us.

What age should my kid start?

Around 6, once they can read short words. Typiq starts with visual letter-matching before asking them to type — so even pre-readers can begin, and the app scales up as they go.

How much screen time per day?

We recommend 10 minutes per day, 4–5 days a week. Research shows short daily sessions beat long weekend crams for motor-skill learning. The app doesn't enforce a timer — that's up to you.

Does it work on a tablet?

Typiq works on iPad + Bluetooth keyboard, Chromebook, PC, and Mac. It does NOT work on phones or without a physical keyboard — touch typing needs real keys.

Is my child's data safe?

Yes. Typiq is a desktop app — your kid's progress is stored locally on your computer, not in any cloud. No behavioral advertising, no data sold to third parties, no chat, no social network. See our privacy policy.

What if we share a computer with siblings?

You can create one profile per child on the same install. Each picks an age group and keeps their own progress, stars and games. All stored locally on your computer.
