Terms of Service v2.0 — March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Typiq desktop application and website typiq-app.com, operated by SIBSTIL DOORS SRL. By downloading, installing, or using Typiq, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms.

1. The Parties

User: Any individual or organization that downloads, installs, or uses the Typiq application.

2. License Grant

Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, SIBSTIL DOORS SRL grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use Typiq as follows:

Trial (Free): 30 minutes of active usage on one device. No payment required. No credit card needed.

Personal License — €18.99 (one-time): Unlimited use on one (1) device. Lifetime access. Free updates for life. No recurring fees.

Family License — €39.99 (one-time): Unlimited use on up to five (5) devices in one household. Lifetime access. Free updates for life. No recurring fees.

3. Digital Content — Your Rights (Directive 2019/770/EU)

As the supplier of digital content (software), we are required under EU Directive 2019/770/EU to ensure that Typiq:

• Functions as described and as you reasonably expect
• Is kept up to date and secure during the period of use
• Is free from defects that prevent normal use

If Typiq does not conform to these requirements, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) under applicable consumer law. See Section 8 for our update and support commitments.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, redistribute, resell, or sublicense the application or license keys
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose
• Share a single license key across multiple devices beyond the permitted tier
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the trial or licensing system
• Use the application to develop competing products

5. Trial Period

Typiq offers a 30-minute free trial measured in real-time usage (time elapsed while the application is open and active). The trial is limited to one trial period per device, determined by hardware fingerprint. After the trial expires, a license must be purchased to continue. The trial is provided free of charge with no obligation to purchase.

6. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.

Every license we sell is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, no renewals and no recurring charges.

7. Refunds and Right of Withdrawal

30-day money-back guarantee: We grant a 30-day money-back guarantee on every license we sell. Email us within 30 days of your purchase and we refund the full amount, without asking for a reason. Downloading, installing or using Typiq does not cancel this guarantee.

EU right of withdrawal: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the European Union may also withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason. For content delivered immediately, that statutory right can end once the download begins with the consumer's express consent. We do not rely on that to refuse refunds: our 30-day guarantee is a voluntary commitment on top of your statutory rights and does not limit them.

8. Updates and Security

In compliance with EU Directive 2019/770/EU on digital content and the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) framework:

• We commit to providing security updates for Typiq for a minimum of 3 years from the date of purchase for Personal license holders.
• We will notify users of critical security updates within a reasonable timeframe.
• Feature updates are provided at our discretion and are free for Personal license holders.
• If we discontinue Typiq, Personal license holders will receive at least 12 months' notice.

9. Device Transfer

Personal licenses are tied to one device via hardware fingerprint. If you replace your device, contact support@typiq-app.com with proof of purchase and we will transfer your license to the new device free of charge within 5 business days.

10. Intellectual Property

Typiq, including its design, code, content, brand, and trademarks, is the exclusive intellectual property of SIBSTIL DOORS SRL. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. The name "Typiq" and the Typiq logo are proprietary marks of SIBSTIL DOORS SRL.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Typiq is provided "as is." We make no warranties beyond those required by applicable mandatory consumer law (including EU Directive 2019/770/EU). We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that the application will meet every specific requirement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Romanian and EU law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Typiq shall not exceed the amount paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other matter where limitation is prohibited by law.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. For B2C disputes with EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of the consumer's country of residence apply where they provide greater protection. The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are willing to resolve disputes amicably via email before any formal proceedings.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. You may terminate your license and receive a prorated refund if you do not accept material changes.
